Natalie Wilson is iKnitiative's principal creative force. Natalie is a knitwear designer and knitting teacher based in the Detroit, Michigan area.

Natalie taught herself to knit in the early 1990s during the bunge jumping craze, figuring there must be something more productive to do with stretchy string! Knitting was also a nice portable craft that fit within the business trips she was taking as a consulting environmental scientist. She began publishing and selling iKnitiative patterns after her designs were favorably received at the Detroit Knit-Out in September 2003. In addition to designing for her iKnitiative pattern line, which is now sold through more than 200 yarn shops in North America, Natalie designs for knitting magazines and yarn companies and has contributed to three books. Natalie lives with a very patient and supportive husband, their two delightful young children, and a hot-tempered cat.
