Resting Time

Resting Time shawl designed by Susan Ashcroft. I used one ball of the Summer Solstice Paints yarn. After using almost exclusively wool yarns, it was quite new to use linen/cotton blend. I read up on how to soften linen yarn and everyone said it softened with washing. So, forging ahead, I put my shawl in a lingerie bag and threw it in the washer with the rest of my wash and then into the dryer. It did soften up some. Then I read the label which said hand wash, no dryer. So, I can't recommend this treatment, but that's what I did.
